ELECT RON MIDDLEBROOK

Our district has been favored with
outstanding representation in the legislature--a
tradition that, if elected, I fully intend to maintain. I have become
increasingly frustrated that our most important traditions and beliefs have
nearly died or been replaced in the corrosive acid of Political
Correctness. We no longer celebrate the birthdays of any of our founding Fathers
and Christmas is slowly being eliminated from our culture too.
Meanwhile, Islam (Liberals new favorite religion since 9-11) is
increasingly celebrated in some of our schools and by some of our public
institutions. It is important to elect people who have proper ideas about
government. I believe that our constitution should be understood in its
original meaning as it was by the people who wrote and ratified it. The
federal government simply does not have the constitutional authority to be
doing many of things it is doing today. I agree with Thomas Jefferson who
wrote:
".....what more is necessary to make us a happy
and prosperous people? ...a wise and frugal government, which shall
restrain men from injuring one another, which shall not take from the
mouth of labor the bread it has earned. THIS IN THE SUM OF GOOD GOVERNMENT
, AND THIS IS NECESSARY TO CLOSE THE CIRCLE OF OUR FELICITIES."
"What I Stand For"
Here's where I stand on the issues that most affect Arizona:
| BOARDER SECURITY |
|
| The boarder should be
seated off immediately. Since the federal government won't do its constitutional
duty to "protect each {state} from invasion" we as a
state, must do it. Building a boarder fence is a good s tart.
Legislation is needed to prevent cities from being sanctuaries to
people living here illegally. Police must be allowed to report
persons here illegally. |
|
FEDERAL JUDGES |
|
| Time and again we have seen
the will of voters frustrated by un-elected federal judges. It's
time that Arizona's legislature began the process of adding an
amendment to the constitution giving the states some means of
defending themselves against renegade federal judges. |
|
TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE |
|
| I will vigorously oppose
any effort to legalize marriage for homosexual couples. |
|
EDUCATION
|
|
| Nothing would do more to
improve the quality of education in our stare than vouchers. Give
parents options and education will improve. |
